The University of St Andrews has been named top in Scotland and 5th in the UK in the new Sunday Times University Guide 2010 published on Sunday September 13th 2009.
The result caps the most successful run of league table results in the University's history.
In the leading tables published in 2009, St Andrews was 1st in the National Student Survey, 3rd in the Guardian University Guide, 4th in the Times Good University Guide, 5th in the Sunday Times University Guide and 7th in the Independent Complete University Guide.
