A secondary school in East Renfrewshire has become the first in Scotland to be awarded the maximum possible score from education inspectors.
Williamwood High was given five top "excellent" ratings in an HMIE report which evaluated teaching standards, the curriculum and pupil attainment.
The report noted that the 1604-roll school had very high levels of success in national exams.
